Boundaries
What Glass Elephant is not.
Clear boundaries make the work safer, more useful and more defensible.

Clinical boundary
It is not therapy or clinical support
Glass Elephant does not diagnose, treat, counsel, clinically assess or provide crisis response. Those responsibilities belong with appropriate professional and organisational routes.
Primary prevention boundary
It is not a substitute for controlling harmful pressure
Glass Elephant is not a substitute for primary prevention. If work is creating avoidable harm through excessive demands, poor control, weak welfare, inadequate staffing or unrealistic deadlines, the answer is not simply to route people into support. Those pressure sources need ownership, control and review.
Support access boundary
It is not a claim that every organisation already has adequate support
In SMEs, sole-trader and supply-chain environments, part of the work may be to identify what support is missing, inaccessible or not trusted.
Organisational boundary
It is not a replacement for existing functions
It does not replace HR, Health & Safety, Occupational Health, EAP, safeguarding, line management, emergency services, legal advice or existing governance. It helps people understand and use those routes more clearly, and helps organisations control, implement and review the practical organisational layer around them.

Use the conversation to decide whether Discovery, a Pilot, the Full Programme, 90-Day Implementation or a Specialist Follow-On Service is the right next step.
